Solid Waste Management in District Banka is a key initiative towards a clean, healthy and sustainable environment. The initiative focuses on scientific collection, segregation, processing and safe disposal of waste in both urban and rural areas.

This strategy covers all 4 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) and all 182 Gram Panchayats of the district.

Key Objectives 100% door-to-door collection, source segregation, decentralized composting, recycling and promotion of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).
