The Annual Bounsi Fair (also known as Bounsi Mela) is one of the major tourist attractions of the this region. Bounsi Mela depicts the village life of the Mandar region.
The glorious fair Bounsi mela is held every year in the month of January. The fair starts from 14th January ( Makar Sankranti day ) every year and continues for a month.
A Ratha-Yatra procession of Lord Madhusudana occurs every year on the same day as the Rath Yatra procession in Puri. Fourteenth-century Vaishnava saint Chaitanya Mahaprabhu started this Rath Yatra during his visit to Mandar.
